FAQs

Is homebirth safe?

Homebirth is a safe option of any low-risk pregnancy. Read here for up to date information.

Can I have a homebirth if I live in an apartment?

You certainly can! I've attended births in many different settings, including outdoors and in an airstream!

Can I have my other children present at my birth?

Yes! You absolutely can. Birth can be as much of a family experience as you would like it to be. As we get to know each other through your prenatal care, we can even talk about ways to involve your older children in your care leading up to the birth.

Do you take insurance?

I am able to take both HSA and FSA payments. Homebirth coverage varies depending on the insurance provider that you have. I am happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

When should I make my first appointment?

You can make your first appointment as early as you want! We can usually hear the baby's heartbeat between 9-12 weeks, but if you'd rather establish care earlier than that, I would be happy to see you!
